Policy meeting minutes from Federal Open Market Committee and European Central Bank Governing Board get published.
Special Events and Holidays: National Golden Week in China runs through Wednesday. A Eurogroup meeting on Thursday will be followed by a meeting of EU finance ministers on Friday. Latvian parliamentary elections are set for Saturday. The first round of Brazilian parliamentary and presidential elections are on Sunday, and The initial round of Czech senate elections are scheduled for next Friday.
Purchasing Manager Surveys: Most of these September surveys will cover the service sector. There are also the last of the manufacturing sector, and construction reports from Euroland, Germany, France, Italy, and Australia.
U.S. Data Releases: The trade deficit, RCM/TIPP optimism index, and U. Michigan survey of consumer sentiment. Weekly jobless insurance claims, energy inventories, mortgage applications and chain store sales.
Japanese Releases: The current account, consumer confidence, average cash earnings, economy watchers survey, household spending, machine tool orders, international reserves and indices of leading and coincident economic indicators.
Other Asia: Chinese trade balances, CPI and reserves. Filipino consumer prices and industrial production. Indonesian and Singaporean retail sales. Indonesian consumer confidence and South Korea’s index of leading economic indicators.
Euroland Releases: Retail sales, producer prices and Sentix gauge of investor sentiment.
Members of the Euro Area: German, Estonian, Italian, Austrian, Latvian, Finnish, Irish, and Slovenian industrial production. Estonian, Austrian, Latvian and Lithuanian consumer prices. German and French trade balances. German industrial orders and French current account. Spanish indices of leading and coincident economic indicators. Austrian wholesale prices. Lithuanian, Cypriot and Croatian producer prices.
U.K. and Switzerland: British Lloyds house price index and Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors’ house price balance index. Swiss consumer sentiment and unemployment.
