Central Banks: Monetary policy reviews in Australia, Norway, Peru and Serbia. Hammack, Barkin and Bowman of the Fed will be speaking publicly. So will Reserve Bank of Australia Governor Bullock to explain the RBA decision and the quarterly Monetary Policy Report. With President Trump resuming his quest to replace Govenor Cook, new questions about the independence of the Federal Reserve may emerge as a market-moving factor.

Holiday and Event: Japan observes Mountain Day on Monday, and OPEC’s monthly report will be out later in the week.

Scheduled U.S. Data Releases: Consumer prices, producer prices, existing home sales, small business sentiment, retail sales, U. Michigan/Reuters index of consumer sentiment and July federal budget statement. Weekly jobless insurance claims, chain store sales, mortgage applications and energy inventories.

Euroland Releases: Quarterly GDP and employment. Monthly CPI, industrial production and Sentix gauge of investor sentiment.

Members of the Euro Area: German, French, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, Portuguese, Finnish, Slovakian, Lithuanian, Irish and Croatian consumer prices. Lithuanian and Croatian PPI, as well as German wholesale prices. German and Italian current accounts. Slovakian, Slovenian and Cypriot GDP. Dutch and Italian trade balances. Finnish, Austrian and Slovakian industrial production. German index of leading economic indicators and Irish construction purchasing managers survey.

U.K. and Switzerland: British quarterly GDP and monthly same store sales, Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors’ house price balance index, trade balance, industrial production, construction output and index of leading economic indicators. Swiss producer prices and import prices.

Eastern Europe: Bulgarian, Hungarian Russian and Romanian industrial production. Bulgarian, Romanian and Polish GDP. Polish, Czech, Russian and Romanian CPI. Russian current account and trade balance.

Nordic Europe: Danish, Swedish and Norwegian consumer prices. Danish current account and Norwegian PPI.

Japanese and Chinese Releases: Japanese current account, machine tool orders, money growth, domestic credit expansion, producer prices, and import prices. Chinese CPI, PPI and current account.

Other Asia: Indian and Malaysian CPI. Hong Kong and Singaporean GDP  and current accounts. Indonesian retail sales and consumer sentiment. South Korean import prices.

Australia and New Zealand: Australian business confidence, business conditions, home loans, and index of leading economic indicators.

South Africa and Turkey: South African and Turkish industrial production. Turkish retail sales and current account. South African business sentiment.

Canada, Mexico and Brazil: Canadian building permits, capacity usage and manufacturing sales. Mexican trade balance. Brazilian retail sales and index of leading economic indicators.
