Events and Holidays: U.S. President Biden’s trip to Europe continues, with the G7 summit in Cornwall this weekend, an attendance with British Queen Elizabeth on Sunday, the Nato summit in Brussels and a bilateral meeting with Turkish President Erdogan on Monday, anĀ  EU summit on Tuesday in Brussels including several bilateral meetings with EU leaders, and a summit with President Putin on Wednesday. China and Hong Kong observe the Dragon Boat Festival on Monday, and South Africa’s Youth Day falls on Wednesday.

Scheduled U.S. Statistical releases: Retail sales, producer prices, import prices, housing starts, building permits, industrial production, capacity usage, New York regional purchasing managers index, Philly Fed and Empire State manufacturing surveys, Treasury-compiled capital flows, and the National Association of Home Builders’ housing market index. Weekly jobless insurance claims, energy inventories, consumer comfort, chain store sales and mortgage applications.

Japanese and Chinese Releases: Japanese industrial production, capacity usage, tertiary index, machinery orders, customs trade and CPI. Chinese retail sales, industrial production, unemployment, fixed asset investment, foreign direct investment, and housing prices.

Selected Other Asian Releases: Indian, Indonesian, and Singaporean trade balances. Indian CPI and PPI. Hong Kong unemployment and GDP.

Euroland Data: Quarterly labor costs. Monthly CPI, construction output, current account, new car sales, trade balance, and industrial production.

Canada and Brazil: Canadian housing starts, consumer prices, new home prices, and survey of manufacturing shipments, orders and inventories. Brazilian business confidence and index of leading economic indicators.
