Central Banks: Monetary policies will be reviewed at the Federal Reserve, Bank of Japan, Bank of England as well as at the central banks in Malaysia, Brazil, Egypt, Norway, Armenia, and Kyrgyzstan. Post-decision press conferences will be conducted by Fed Chairman Powell, Bank of England Governor Bailey, and Bank of Japan Governor Ueda. The Bank of Japan will publish its quarterly report on Japan’s Outlook for Inflation and Economic Activity, and the Bank of England’s quarterly Monetary Policy Report also gets released next week.’

Holidays and Events: Europe goes back to standard time next week, cutting the normal time differential with the U.S. by one hour. Colombia holds regional elections on Sunday. Several European countries such as Spain, France and Italy will observe All Saint’s Day on Wednesday, and Japan’s Culture Day falls on Friday.

Purchasing Manager Surveys: October reports covering manufacturing and service sector activity will be released next week.

Scheduled U.S. Releases: Quarterly employment cost index, productivity and unit labor costs. Monthly Labor Dept. employment situation including the jobless rate, employment growth and average hourly earnings, the FHFA and Case Shiller house price indices, consumer confidence, motor vehicle sales, construction spending, factory orders, Dallas Fed manufacturing survey, and Chicago regional PMI. Weekly jobless insurance claims, mortgage applications, energy inventories, and chain store sales.

Euroland Releases: 3Q GDP and employment. Monthly CPI, jobless rate, consumer confidence and economic sentiment.

Members of the Euro Area: German, French, Spanish, and Italian consumer prices. French and Italian producer prices. German and Italian unemployment. German, French, Italian, Austrian, Belgian and Portuguese GDP. German import prices, retail sales and trade balance. French industrial production and household consumption.

U.K. and Switzerland: British shop prices, money growth, mortgage applications and Nationwide house price index. Swiss retail sales, CPI, consumer confidence and KOF leaders index.

Nordic  and Eastern Europe: Swedish GDP. Latvian, Lithuanian and Russian GDP. Russian business confidence.

Japanese Data: Retail sales, industrial production, consumer confidence, unemployment, construction orders, housing starts and the monetary base.

Selected Other Asian Releases: South Korean and Indian consumer prices. South Korean industrial production, retail sales, and trade balance. Singaporean retail sales and business confidence. Hong Kong GDP.

Australian and New Zealand Releases: Australian money growth, private domestic credit expansion, building permits, retail sales, construction PMI, and trade balance. New Zealand third quarter unemployment and labor costs.

Turkey: Turkish CPI, PPI, trade balance and economic sentiment.

Canada, Mexico and Brazil: Canadian October labor market statistics. Mexican GDP and business sentiment. Brazilian unemployment.
