Central Banks: Monetary policies will be reviewed in the United States, Euroland, Japan, Ukraine, and Brazil. Fed Chairman Powell, ECB President Lagarde, and BOJ Governor Ueda speak publicly. The FOMC and European Central Bank macroeconomic forecasts will be updated.

Event: Meetings of the Eurogroup and Ecofin occur late in the week.

Scheduled U.S. Data Releases: Consumer prices, producer prices, small business sentiment, retail sales, industrial production, capacity usage, the U. Michigan consumer sentiment index, the Empire State and Philly Fed manufacturing surveys, the federal budget deficit, and Treasury-compiled capital flows. Weekly jobless insurance claims, energy inventories, chain store sales and mortgage applications.

Japan and China: Japanese producer prices, trade balance, machinery orders, machine tool orders, tertiary index, and Finance Ministry’s quarterly estimate of business sentiment. Chinese retail sales, industrial production, fixed asset investment, unemployment, corporate profits, fixed asset investment, and foreign direct investment.

Selection of Other Asian Releases: Indian, Singaporean, and Indonesian trade balances. Indian and Hong Kong industrial production. Indian CPI and PPI. South Korean unemployment.

Euroland Releases: Quarterly labor costs. Monthly industrial production, revised CPI, trade balance, index of leading economic indicators, and ZEW expectations index.

Members of the Euro Area: German, French, Italian, Spanish, Finnish, and Portuguese consumer prices. German and French current accounts. Spanish, Belgian, Irish, and Dutch trade balances. Irish construction purchasing managers survey, Portuguese producer prices, and German ZEW expectations index.

U.K. and Switzerland: British labor statistics, industrial production, construction output, monthly GDP, and labor market statistics. Swiss producer prices and import prices.

Nordic Europe: Swedish and Danish consumer prices. Norway’s trade balance.

Eastern Europe: Czech, Polish and Romanian consumer prices. Czech and Polish current accounts. Hungarian and Romanian industrial production.

Australia and New Zealand: Australian labor market data, consumer confidence, business confidence and business conditions. New Zealand GDP, current account, food prices and trade balance.

South Africa and Turkey: Turkish and South African retail sales. South African business confidence and Turkish unemployment and current account.

Canada, Mexico and Brazil: Canadian housing starts and survey of manufacturing sales, orders and inventories. Mexican and Brazilian indices of leading economic indicators. Brazilian retail sales.
