Central Banks: The Federal Reserve, Bank of England, and central banks in Australia, Norway, Malaysia, Kyrgyzstan, and Czech Republics will be reviewing monetary stances next week. Fed Chairman Powell, BOE Governor Bailey, and Reserve Bank of Australia Governor Lowe will hold press conferences. The RBA quarterly Monetary Policy Statement and Bank of Japan Minutes will be published.

Holidays and Special Events: The run-off round of Brazil’s election this weekend is likely to have a profound long-term effect on the planet’s environment. Many countries will be observing All Saint’s Day on Tuesday, and Japan’s Culture Day holiday falls on Thursday.

Purchasing Manager Surveys: Manufacturing and service sector PMIs will be reported for various and sundry economies throughout the period. British and Irish construction PMI survey results are due Friday.

Scheduled U.S. Data Releases: Quarterly unit labor costs and productivity. Monthly labor market statistics, auto sales, construction spending, trade balance, Dallas Fed manufacturing index, and Chicago Fed regional PMI. Weekly jobless insurance claims, chain store sales, energy inventories, and mortgage applications.

Japanese Releases: Retail sales, industrial production, consumer confidence, monetary base, housing starts and construction orders.

Selected Other Asian Releases: Malaysian, Hong Kong and Indonesian GDP. Taiwanese, Filipino, Indonesian, South Korean and Thai consumer prices. Hong Kong, Singaporean, Thai and South Korean retail sales. South Korean, Thai and Filipino trade balances. South Korean industrial production and Taiwanese wholesale prices.

Euroland Releases: Producer prices, GDP, unemployment and consumer prices.

Members of the Euro Area: Italian and Portuguese GDP. French, German, and Portuguese industrial production. German Dutch and Spanish retail sales. Spanish current account and German trade balance. Austrian consumer prices and Cypriot producer prices.

U.K. and Switzerland: British Nationwide house price index and shop prices. Swiss retail sales, consumer confidence and CPI.

Eastern Europe: Russian and Czech GDP. Polish and Romanian producer prices. Russian retail sales, business confidence, and unemployment.

Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Turkey: Australian money and private credit growth. Australian and New Zealand building permits. New Zealand third-quarter labor statistics. South African and Australian trade balances. Turkish CPI and PPI.

Canada, Brazil and Mexico: Brazilian and Canadian trade balances. Canadian labor statistics and IVEY-PMI index. Mexican GDP and business confidence. Brazilian industrial production.
