Central Banks: Central banks reviews monetary policy next week include those in Turkey, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Norway, Indonesia, Ukraine, China and Japan. The Bank of Japan also updates its quarterly Outlook for Economic Activity and Prices, publishes Board meeting minutes, and holds a press conference with Governor Kuroda.

Events and Holidays: The U.S. observes Martin Luther King’s birthday holiday on Monday. Meetings of the EU Eurogroup and finance ministers are scheduled.

U.S. Planned Data Releases: Existing home sales, housing starts, building permits, the NAHB housing market index, the Empire State and Philly Fed manufacturing indices, Treasury-compiled capital flows, and the index of leading economic indicators. Weekly jobless insurance claims, mortgage applications, energy inventories, and chain store sales.

Japanese and Chinese Data: Japanese customs trade balance, consumer prices, machinery orders, revised industrial production, capacity usage, and tertiary index of service sector activities. Chinese quarterly GDP and monthly retail sales, industrial production, unemployment, capacity use, home prices, and fixed asset investment.

Other Selected Asian Releases: Thai, Indonesian and Singaporean balances of trade. Hong Kong CPI, consumer confidence and unemployment. South Korean producer prices.

Euroland Data: Consumer prices, current account, construction output, consumer confidence, car sales, and ZEW index of investor expectations.

Members of the Euro Area: German, Irish, Italian, and Austrian CPI. German, Irish and Portuguese producer prices. Italian, Irish, Portuguese, and Greek current accounts. Dutch and Greek unemployment. Belgian and Dutch consumer confidence. Irish construction purchasing managers survey, Dutch household consumption, German ZEW expectations index, French business confidence, and Spain’s index of leading economic indicators.

U.K. and Switzerland: British CPI, PPI, Retail sales, consumer confidence, labor statistics, Rightmove house price index, and Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors house price balance. Swiss producer prices and import prices.

Eastern Europe: Czech and Polish PPI. Russian current account, trade balance, and consumer confidence. Polish unemployment and industrial production.

Nordic Europe: Norwegian business confidence and trade balance. Danish PPI and consumer confidence.

Australia and New Zealand: Australian labor market statistics, new home sales, consumer confidence, and building permits. New Zealand manufacturing purchasing managers index, business confidence, capacity utilization, and food prices.

South Africa and Turkey: South African CPI, retail sales and building permits. Turkish consumer sentiment.

Canada and Mexico: Canadian retail sales, housing starts, CPI and monthly survey of manufacturing sales, orders and inventories.
