Central Banks: Monetary policies will be reviewed in Japan, South Korea, Canada, Turkey, Chile, New Zealand and the Philippines. Fed Vice-Chair Quarles, ECB President Lagarde, BOJ Governor Kuroda, and Bank of Canada Governor Macklem are some of the central bank officials scheduled to speak publicly during the period. The Fed Beige Book of U.S. regional conditions and the Bank of Canada quarterly Monetary Policy Report get published.

Events and Holidays: In France Bastille Day falls on Wednesday. EU finance ministers have a scheduled meeting.

U.S. Data Releases: Consumer prices, producer prices, import prices, the Empire State and Philly Fed manufacturing surveys, the NFIB small business sentiment index, the federal budget monthly deficit, industrial production, capacity usage, retail sales, the NAHB housing market index, and the U. Michigan/Reuters joint index of consumer sentiment. Also weekly jobless insurance claims, consumer comfort, chain store sales, energy inventories, and mortgage applications.

Japanese and Chinese Data: Japanese producer prices, machinery orders, revised industrial production, capacity usage and the tertiary index of service sector activity. Chinese second-quarter GDP growth and monthly retail sales, industrial production, fixed asset investment, unemployment, property prices, trade surplus, and foreign direct investment.

Selected Other Asian Releases: Indonesian, Singaporean and Indian trade balances. Indian and Malaysian industrial production. Indonesian retail sales, South Korean unemployment, Indian wholesale prices and Singaporean GDP.

Euroland: Industrial production, CPI, trade balance, new car sales, and index of leading economic indicators.

Members of the Euro Area: German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Cypriot, and Austrian consumer prices. Dutch, Irish, Italian, Belgian, and Cypriot trade balances. German and Spanish indices of leading economic indicators. German wholesale prices and Portuguese producer prices. Irish construction purchasing managers index, Finland’s current account, and Belgian construction output.

U.K. and Switzerland: British CPI, PPI, unemployment, jobs growth, same-store sales, wage growth, and index of leading economic indicators. Swiss PPI and import prices.

Nordic Europe: Swedish and Danish consumer prices. Danish PPI.

Eastern Europe: Czech, Romanian and Polish CPI. Polish and Hungarian industrial production. Russian PPI and trade balance. Czech unemployment and Poland’s current account.

Australian and New Zealand Releases: Australian labor statistics, consumer confidence, business sentiment and conditions, and new home sales. New Zealand second-quarter consumer prices and monthly food prices and manufacturing purchasing managers survey.

South Africa and Turkey: South African factory output, retail sales, building permits, and wholesale turnover. Turkish retail sales, industrial production, and unemployment.

Canada, Mexico and Brazil: Canadian housing starts and survey of manufacturing sales, orders, and inventories. Mexican industrial production and Brazilian business confidence.
