Central Banks: The European Central Bank, Bank of Japan, South African Reserve Bank, Bank Indonesia and Magyar Nemzeti Bank will hold monetary policy meetings. Minutes from the last Reserve Bank of Australia meeting and an updated Bank of Japan Outlook will be published. ECB President Draghi and BOJ Governor Kuroda will preside over press conferences.

Japanese Holiday: Marine Day on Monday.

Chinese Scheduled Statistical Reports: Quarterly GDP and monthly retail sales, industrial production, business investment, and property prices. The National Bureau of Statistics is holding a press conference.

Japanese Data: Customs trade, the all industry index, department and supermarket sales, and machine tool orders.

Selected Other Asian Releases: Indonesian and Singaporean trade figures. Hong Kong and Malaysian unemployment and consumer prices. South Korea’s PPI. Indian M3 money and index of leading economic indicators.

U.S. statistics: The Empire State and Philly Fed manufacturing surveys. The National Association of Home Builders index, housing starts, and building permits. Import prices, Treasury-collected capital flows, and the index of leading economic indicators. Weekly jobless insurance claims, mortgage applications, consumer comfort, chain store sales, and energy inventories.

Euroland: Consumer prices, current account, consumer confidence, home prices, construction output and ZEW index of investor sentiment.

Members of the Euro Area: German ZEW index and PPI. Italian, Portuguese and Greek current accounts. French and Spanish indices of leading economic indicators. Spanish and Irish trade balances. Dutch and Belgian consumer confidence. Dutch unemployment and Portugal’s CPI.

U.K. and Switzerland: British CPI, RPI, PPI, DCLG and Rightmove house price indices, retail sales, and public sector deficit. Swiss M3 money growth and trade balance.

Nordic Europe: Danish and Icelandic producer prices. Danish consumer sentiment and Icelandic CPI.

Eastern Europe: Czech and Polish producer prices. Polish retail sales, wages, and industrial production.

Australia: Labor statistics, business confidence, new motor vehicle sales and index of leading economic indicators.

New Zealand, South Africa and Turkey: New Zealand and South African consumer prices. South Africa’s CPI and Turkish unemployment.

Canada, Brazil and Mexico: Canada’s monthly survey of manufacturing sales, orders and inventories. Canadian retail sales and consumer prices. Brazil’s current account and index of leading economic indicators. Mexican unemployment.
