Central Banks:  Interest rate policy meetings are planned next week in Brazil, the eurozone, Poland, Australia, Sri Lanka and Sweden.  The Fed Beige Book of regional economic conditions will be published.  The Jackson Hole central bank symposium wraps up Saturday with a speech from Stanley Fisher, the Fed Vice Chairman and mentor to a who’s who of powerful central bankers around the world, including Mario Draghi, who will give a press conference after the ECB Governing Council meeting.  Bank of England Governor Carney and regional Fed District presidents Lacker and Rosengren also speak publicly next week.

G20:  A Group of Twenty meeting is scheduled late in the week.

Purchasing Manager Surveys:  Being the first week of the month, many PMI surveys covering manufacturing, services, retail and construction get reported.

Scheduled Japanese Economic Statistical Releases:  Industrial production, housing starts, construction orders, motor vehicle output and sales, the monetary base, quarterly business investment and labor cash earnings.

Selected Other Asian Data:  South Korean retail sales, industrial production, GDP, current account and consumer prices.  Filipino CPI and PPI.  Hong Kong retail sales, Indian GDP, Malaysian trade, China’s index of leading economic indicators, and Indonesian CPI.  Thai current account, CPI, and industrial output.

Euroland:  Consumer prices, producer prices and unemployment.

Members of the Eurozone:  German factory orders, unemployment and retail sales.  Italian GDP, new car sales, retail sales, unemployment, CPI and PPI.  Cypriot consumer and producer prices.  Greek retail sales, Spain’s current account, and Irish industrial output.  Finnish, Belgian and Portuguese GDP.  French  unemployment and consumer confidence.

Britain and Switzerland:  British new car sales, money growth and Halifax house price index.  Swiss consumer prices and index of leading economic indicators.

Eastern Europe:  Romanian and Czech retail sales.  Romanian PPI and GDP.  Hungarian GDP and trade balance.

Nordic Europe:  Danish GDP and unemployment.  Icelandic PPI and Swedish current account and industrial output.

U.S. Data Releases:  Nonfarm payroll employment, hourly earnings, and unemployment.  The Dallas Fed manufacturing index, factory orders, construction spending and the NAPM New York region manufacturing survey. Monthly trade and quarterly productivity and unit labor costs.  The Milwaukee and Chicago regional PMIs.  IBD/TIPP Optimism index and the ADP estimate of private sector jobs.  Weekly jobless insurance claims, consumer comfort, chain store sales, mortgage applications, and energy inventories.

Canada, Brazil and Mexico:  Canadian quarterly GDP, current account, productivity and unit labor costs. Canadian monthly GDP and trade balance.  Mexican consumer sentiment and Brazilian trade balance.

Australia and New Zealand:  Australian M3, private credit, retail sales, current account, GDP, corporate profits, new home sales, trade balance, and building permits.  New Zealand money growth, building  permits and business sentiment.

Turkey and South Africa:  Turkish trade, CPI and PPI.  South African money and credit growth, trade balance and business confidence.
