Central Banks: Monetary policy reviews will be held in South Africa and Kyrgyzstan. Fed Beige Book of regional economic trends in the United States will be published. Fed officials speaking publicly in the week will included Kashkari, Mester, Bowman and Williams. Bank of England Governor Bailey and Swiss National Bank President Jordan also have speaking engagements.

Holidays and Special Events: The U.S. and U.K. are both shut Monday for Memorial Day and the late spring bank holiday. South Africa holds a general election in the 29th.

Scheduled U.S. Data Releases: Quarterly GDP. Monthly consumer confidence, Case-Shiller and FHFA house price indices, advance trade balance,Chicago regional PMI, personal income, personal consumption expenditures, PCE price deflator, pending home sales, and the Dallas Fed and Richmond Fed manufacturing surveys. Weekly jobless insurance claims, energy inventories, chain store sales, and mortgage applications.

Japanese Data: Unemployment, Tokyo CPI, retail sales, housing starts, industrial production, construction orders, consumer confidence, corporate service prices and index of leading economic indicators.

Other Asian Releases: Singapore import prices and producer prices. Chinese NBS-compiled manufacturing and non-manufacturing purchasing managers surveys. South Korean retail sales and industrial production.

Euroland Releases: Economic sentiment, consumer confidence, CPI, price expectations, money growth, and domestic credit expansion.

Members of the Euro Area: German, French, and Italian consumer confidence. German IFO business climate index, import prices, retail sales and wholesale prices. Austrian manufacturing PMI, French employment and Italian unemployment. Spanish, French, and Italian consumer prices. Italian and French GDP and producer prices. Spanish business confidence and current account.

U.K. and Switzerland: British shop prices, Nationwide house price index, mortgage approvals, and distributive trades survey. Swiss trade balance, GDP, index of leading economic indicators, and ZEW index of investor sentiment.

Australia and New Zealand: Australian retail sales, construction work done, business investment, money and credit growth, and index of leading economic indicators. New Zealand building permits.

Turkey and South Africa: Turkish GDP, economic sentiment, and trade balance. South African money growth and trade balance.

Canadian Releases: Quarterly current account and GDP. Monthly PPI and GDP.

Brazil and Mexico: Brazilian and Mexican unemployment. Brazilian PPI.
