Central Banks: Monetary policies to be reviewed in Australia, Poland, Moldova, Mexico, Peru and Serbia. The Bank of Japan publishes a summary of its October board meeting and minutes from its September meeting. Bank of England Governor Bailey delivers a speech.

Events: Clocks in North America are put an hour backward this weekend, ending daylight savings time until next March. EU finance ministers hold a meeting.

Purchasing Manager Surveys: Composite and service sector PMI results from October will be reported for Japan, Euroland, Germany, France, Italy and Brazil. Construction PMIs for Euroland, Germany, France, Italy and the U.K. arrive. So do the non-oil Egyptian and Saudi Arabian PMIs.

Scheduled U.S. Economic Data Releases: Trade deficit, consumer confidence, U. Michigan/Reuters index of consumer sentiment, and the IBD/TIPP optimism index. Weekly jobless insurance claims, mortgage applications, chain store sales, and energy inventories.

Japanese and Chinese Releases: Japanese and Chinese reserves. Japanese customs trade balance, bank lending, machine tool orders, household spending, economy watchers index, average cash earnings, and index of leading economic indicators. Chinese CPI, PPI, foreign direct investment, money growth, and yuan bank lending.

Selected Other Asian Data: Indonesian GDP and consumer confidence. Filipino consumer prices and Indian industrial production.

Euroland Releases: Retail sales, PPI, and Sentix gauge of investor sentiment.

Members of the Euro Area: German, Italian, and Spanish industrial production. German and Dutch consumer prices. French current account and trade balance. Italian retail sales, Spanish consumer confidence, and German industrial orders.

U.K. and Switzerland: British 3Q and September GDP. British industrial production, construction output, same store sales, RICs housing index, andHalifax house price index. Swiss unemployment.

Nordic and Eastern Europe: Russian and Norwegian consumer prices. Romanian and Hungarian retail sales. Russia’s trade balance.

Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Turkey: Australian building permits and New Zealand’s manufacturing purchasing managers index. Turkish and South African industrial production.

Canada, Mexico and Brazil: Canadian IVEY-PMI index and trade balance. Brazilian and Mexican industrial production. Mexican CPI and consumer confidence. Brazilian retail sales.
