Central Banks: Monetary policy reviews are scheduled in Israel, Australia, Poland, Serbia and South Korea. Also know that during the Covid-19 crisis, central bank policies have been modified frequently after unscheduled meetings. FOMC minutes will be published, and so will the Bank of Canada’s Business Outlook Survey.

Holidays and Other Notes of Interest: Mahavir Jayanti will be observed in India on Monday. Norway, Mexico and New Zealand will be observing Maundy Thursday, and a slew of markets will shut for Good Friday, including the U.S., U.K., Germany, Switzerland, Italy, New Zealand, Norway, Hong Kong, Singapore, Spain, France, South Africa, Indonesia, Mexico, Canada, Brazil, India, and Australia. The coronavirus pandemic will continue to crescendo in many countries even as businesses and schools stay shuttered. Thee is a Eurogroup meeting on Tuesday.

Scheduled U.S. Economic Statistical Releases: Consumer prices, producer prices, real average earnings, consumer credit, the employment trends index, the JOLTS index, the IBD/TIPP optimism index, and the U. Michigan/Reuters index of consumer sentiment. Also, weekly jobless insurance claims, consumer comfort, chain store sales, mortgage applications and energy inventories.

Japanese and Chinese Data: Japanese producer prices, machinery orders, machine tool orders, current account, consumer confidence, household spending, bank lending, bankruptcies, economy watchers index, labor cash earnings and index of leading economic indicators. Chinese consumer and producer prices, money growth, bank lending, and international reserves.

Other Selected Asian Releases: Indian services and composite purchasing manager surveys. Malaysian and Indian industrial production. Thai and Filipino consumer prices. Thai PPI and Indonesian consumer confidence. South Korean current account.

Euroland Releases: Construction purchasing managers survey, home prices, and Sentix gauge of investor confidence.

Data to Be Reported by Euro Area Members: German, French, Italian and Irish construction PMI surveys. German, French, Italian, Irish, Finnish and Greek industrial production. German, French, Greek, Cypriot, Portuguese, Austrian and Dutch trade balances. German and French current accounts. German industrial orders and index of leading economic indicators. Greek CPI and unemployment. Dutch CPI and Spanish consumer confidence.

U.K. and Switzerland: British quarterly productivity and unit labor costs. British monthly GDP, industrial production, construction output, trade balance, Halifax house price index, RICs house price balance, and index of leading economic indicators. Swiss unemployment.

Eastern Europe: Czech, Romanian and Hungarian trade balances. Romanian and Hungarian consumer prices.

Nordic Europe: Danish current account and industrial production. Norwegian CPI and PPI.

Australia and New Zealand: Australian home loans, trade balance and AIG-conducted services PMI survey. New Zealand quarterly capacity usage and business sentiment and monthly home prices.

South Africa and Turkey: South African business confidence and industrial production. Turkish unemployment.

Canada: Monthly labor force survey (unemployment, jobs growth, and average hourly earnings), as well as housing starts, building permits and IVEY-PMI index.

Brazil and Mexico: Brazilian and Mexican consumer prices. Brazilian retail sales and PPI. Mexican industrial production.
