Central Banks: Monetary policy meetings in New Zealand, Mexico, Thailand, Sri Lanka, the Czech Republic, Sri Lanka, and Colombia. Bank of Japan publishes minutes from its July Board meeting and a summary of the September meeting. Various Fed officials will speak publicly including Yellen, George, Rosengren, Harker, Dudley, Evans, Bullard, and Kashkari. Governors of the central bank in Japan, Australia and Canada, as well as ECB Vice President Constancio speak publicly as well.

Parliamentary Elections: New Zealand on the 23rd and Germany on the 24th.

Time Change: New Zealand returns to standard time this weekend.

Scheduled U.S. Economic Data Releases: GDP, personal income and spending, PCE price deflator, Case Shiller house price index, new home sales, pending home sales, the Dallas Fed, Kansas City Fed and Richmond Fed manufacturing indices, consumer confidence (both the Conference Board and U. Michigan measures), durable goods orders, the Chicago Fed National Activity Index, the Chicago regional PMI, and weekly jobless insurance claims, chain store sales, consumer comfort, mortgage applications and energy inventories.

Japanese Statistics: Industrial production, motor vehicle output, consumer prices, corporate service prices, household spending, retail sales, small business confidence, unemployment, housing starts, construction orders, manufacturing PMI, and index of leading economic indicators.
