Central Banking:  Interest rate policy meetings in Canada, the U.K., Singapore, Peru, and Chile.  Fed Beige Book gets published, and Powell, Evans, Williams and Lockhart are some of the Fed officials who will be speaking in public.

IMF/World Bank Spring Meetings:  April 15-17 in Washington.  The World Economic Update will be released on Tuesday, and finance ministers and deputy central bank governors of the Group of 20 will meet on Thursday.

Scheduled Chinese Data Releases:  GDP, industrial production, retail sales, money and lending growth, foreign direct investment, fixed asset investment, the trade balance, consumer prices and producer prices.

Japanese Statistical Releases:  Machinery orders, machine tool orders, bank lending, money growth, corporate goods prices, revised industrial production and capacity usage.

Selected Other Asia Data:  Singaporean GDP and retail sales.  Indian and Malaysian industrial production.  Indian trade and wholesale prices.

U.S. Data:  Retail sales, industrial production, producer prices, small business sentiment, March federal budget, consumer prices, empire state manufacturing index, U. Michigan/Reuters consumer sentiment index, import prices, and weekly consumer comfort, chain store sales, energy inventories, mortgage applications and new jobless insurance claims.

Euroland:  Industrial production, trade balance, CPI, new car sales, and home prices, .

Members of Eurozone:  German CPI, WPI, and index of leading economic indicators.  French, Portuguese, Spanish and Austrian consumer prices.  Belgian trade balance and Finnish retail sales.

Nordic Europe:  Norwegian and Swedish consumer prices.  Danish and Norwegian producer prices.  Norwegian trade balance.

Eastern Europe:  Czech and Polish consumer prices.  Romanian and Hungarian industrial output.

Britain and Switzerland:  U.K. PPI, CPI, DCLG house prices, index of leading economic indicators, construction output, same store sales and RICs house price balance index.  Swiss producer and import prices.

Turkey and South Africa:  Turkey’s current account and unemployment rate.  South African wholesale turnover.

Canada and Mexico:  Canadian home prices and monthly survey of manufacturing sales, orders and inventories.  Mexican industrial production and trade balance.
