Bank of England: No Change This Month

November 8, 2012

The statement released by the Bank of England’s Monetary Policy Committee left the key interest rate at 0.5%, its level since March 2009, and the size of quantitative easing at GBP 375 billion, a level fully reached just recently.  Minutes of the meeting, which will shed light on the vote and latest thinking of committee members, arrive on November 21, but the BOE’s quarterly Inflation Report will be published a week sooner on November 14.
