Central Banks: Interest rate announcements are scheduled next week in China, Turkey, South Korea, New Zealand,  Argentina and Israel. Minutes of last policy meetings are to be published by the FOMC, Bank of Mexico, Reserve Bank of India, and Reserve Bank of Australia. New Zealand’s quarterly Monetary Policy Statement also arrives.

Three Holidays of Note: U.S. Presidents Day and Canadian Family Day fall on Monday, while markets in Japan will be closed Thursday for the Emperor’s Birthday.

Scheduled U.S. Data Releases: Quarterly GDP. Monthly S&P Global-compiled purchasing managers survey, personal income and consumption expenditures, PCE price deflator, existing home sales, new home sales, U. Michigan/Reuters index and consumer sentiment, and Kansas City Fed manufacturing index. Weekly jobless insurance claims, mortgage applications, chain store sales, and energy inventories.

Euroland Releases: Preliminary PMIs, ZEW investor expectations index, consumer confidence, CPI, and construction output.

Members of the Euro Area: German and French flash PMI surveys. German, Italian, Creek, Finnish and Cypriot consumer prices. German, Spanish, and Irish producer prices. German, French, Dutch, and Belgian consumer sentiment. German IFO business climate survey and French business confidence. Greek current account and Austrian manufacturing purchasing managers index.

U.K. and Switzerland: British preliminary PMIs, industrial trends survey, distributive trades survey, consumer confidence, Rightmove house price index and public sector net borrowing. Swiss ZEW investor expectations index, trade balance and employment growth.

Nordic and Eastern Europe: Danish and Swedish consumer confidence. Danish and Polish retail sales. Polish and Russian industrial production. Russian PPI and Swedish CPI.

Japanese Data: Preliminary PMIs, consumer prices, and corporate service prices.

Selected Other Asian Releases: Indonesian, Singaporean and Malaysian current accounts. Hong Kong, Malaysian and Singaporean consumer prices. South Korean consumer confidence, Singapore industrial production, Thai GDP, and Malaysia’s trade balance.

Australia and New Zealand: Australian quarterly wage costs and business investment. Australian monthly PMIs and index of leading economic indicators. New Zealand PPI and trade balance.

South Africa and Turkey: South African PPI, unemployment and leading business cycle indicator. Turkish consumer confidence and business sentiment (assuming release not delayed by earthquake).

Canadian Releases: CPI, home prices, and retail sales.

Mexico and Argentina: Mexican retail sales, current account, GDP and index of leading economic indicators. Argentine consumer confidence.
