Central Banks: Monetary  policy reviews are scheduled next week in Turkey, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Iceland, Sweden, South Korea, New Zealand, Israel, and Hungary. FOMC minutes will be published Wednesday. Bostic and Mester of the Fed have public speaking engagements, and so do Governors Orr and Lowe of the Reserve Banks of New Zealand and Australia, Deputy Governor Rogers of the Bank of Canada, and several members of the Bank of England Monetary Policy Committee.

Holidays: Wednesday is Labor Thanksgiving in Japan, and the U.S. Thanksgiving Day holiday on Thursday ushers in the home stretch of another year. Hard to believe that the first quarter of the 21st century will be completed in just over two more years.

Scheduled U.S. Economic Data Releases: New home sales, durable goods orders, the revised U. Michigan consumer sentiment index, the Chicago Fed National Activity index, the Richmond Fed manufacturing survey and preliminary results of the November S&P Global purchasing manager surveys (PMIs). Also weekly jobless insurance claims, energy inventories, chain store sales, and mortgage applications.

Euroland Releases: Current account, consumer confidence, the index of leading economic indicators, and the preliminary PMI survey results.

Members of the Euro Area: German and French PMI surveys. German producer prices, consumer confidence, GDP, and IFO business climate index. Irish, Spanish and Finnish producer prices. French, Belgian, and Italian business sentiment and consumer confidence. Italian and Greek current accounts and Ireland’s trade balance. Dutch consumer sentiment.

U.K. Releases: British preliminary PMI survey findings, consumer confidence, the industrial trends survey, and the public sector borrowing requirement.

Nordic Europe: Swedish producer prices and Icelandic consumer prices. Danish retail sales and consumer confidence.

Eastern Europe: Russian and Polish industrial production and producer prices. Polish retail sales and Czech consumer and business confidence.

Japanese Data Releases: Tokyo consumer prices, corporate service prices, index of leading economic indicators and preliminary PMI results.

Other Selected Asian Releases: Taiwanese and Singapore GDP and current accounts. Malaysian, Hong Kong and Singaporean consumer prices. South Korean PPI and business confidence. Thailand’s trade balance and GDP. India’s index of leading economic indicators.

Australia and New Zealand: Australian preliminary PMI results and index of leading economic indicators. New Zealand retail sales and trade balance.

South Africa and Turkey: South African business confidence, PPI, and leading business cycle indicator. Turkish consumer confidence and business sentiment.

Canada, Mexico and Brazil: Canadian and Mexican retail sales. Mexican and Brazilian current accounts. Canadian home prices and survey of manufacturing sales, orders and inventories. Mexican GDP and index of leading economic indicators. Brazilian consumer sentiment.
