Central Banks: Interest rate decisions are scheduled in Thailand, China, Indonesia and the Philippines. Minutes from the last Reserve Bank of Australia Board meeting will be published.

Special Events: U.S. President Biden and China President Xi Jinping hold their first face-to-face meeting as respective national leaders. They will meet in Bali Indonesia on Monday and are there to attend the annual Group of Twenty Summit that runs on Tuesday and Wednesday. The summit’s theme this year is “Recover Together, Recover Stronger.” On Thursday, British Chancellor of the Exchequer Hunt will deliver the Autumn Budget Statement that outlines medium-term spending and deficit-reduction plans.

Scheduled U.S. Economic Data: Producer prices, import prices, retail sales, housing starts, building permits, National Home-Builders Association housing market index, existing home sales, industrial production, capacity usage, Empire State, Philly Fed and KC Fed manufacturing surveys, Treasury-compiled capital flows, and index of leading economic indicators. Also weekly jobless insurance claims, chain store sales, mortgage applications and energy inventories.

Euroland Releases: Quarterly GDP and employment growth. Monthly CPI, construction output, trade balance, industrial production, ZEW index of investor sentiment, and car sales.

Members of the Euro Area: French, Italian, Finnish, Spanish, Cypriot and Austrian consumer  prices. Dutch, Spanish, Belgian and Irish trade balances. German wholesale prices, index of leading economic indicators, and ZEW survey of investor sentiment. Dutch, Finnish and Cypriot GDP. Portuguese PPI and Ireland’s construction purchasing managers survey.

U.K. and Switzerland: British labor statistics, consumer prices, producer prices, retail sales, and index of leading economic indicators. Swiss ZEW expectations index of investor sentiment.

Nordic European Releases: Norwegian trade balance, consumer confidence and GDP. Swedish CPI and Danish PPI.

Eastern European Releases: Russian, Polish, Romanian, and Hungarian GDP. Romanian and Hungarian GDP. Czech producer prices.

Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, and Brazil: Australian quarterly labor costs and monthly employment, jobs growth and wage inflation. Brazilian and Australian indices of leading economic indicators. South African retail sales and consumer prices. New Zealand producer prices.

Canadian Releases: Housing starts, consumer prices, and survey of manufacturing sales, orders, and inventories.
