Central Banks: Monetary policies to be reviewed in China, Euroland, Iceland, Norway, Mexico, Turkey, Georgia, Indonesia, the Czech Republic and the Philippines. Minutes of the prior meetings at the Reserve Bank of Australia and the Bank of Japan will be published. So will results of the Federal Reserve’s annual stress tests of commercial banks. Fed Chairman presents semi-annual testimony on monetary policy and the economy before the Senate Banking Committee on Wednesday and before the House Financial Services Committee on Thursday.

Holidays and Events: Juneteenth Day in the United States and Summer Solstice. The Colombian presidential election is tomorrow, and the second run-off French parliamentary election will be held on Sunday. EU leaders will meet next Thursday and Friday, preparing for the transfer of the rotating EU Presidency, which was held by France in the first half of 2022 and will belong to the Czech Republic in the second half of the year.

U.S. Statistical Releases: Quarterly current account and monthly new home sales, existing home sales, K.C. Fed manufacturing survey, U. Michigan consumer sentiment survey, Chicago Fed National Activity index, and preliminary IHS-compiled purchasing managers survey results. Weekly jobless insurance claims, chain store sales, mortgage applications, and energy inventories.

Euroland Releases: Preliminary PMI results, consumer confidence, current account and construction output.

Members of the Euro Area: Preliminary French and German PMIs. Dutch and Spanish GDP. Italian, Greek and Portuguese current accounts. Italian, French, and Belgian business confidence. German IFO business climate index. German, Irish, and Finnish, producer prices. Belgian, Dutch and Italian consumer confidence.

U.K. and Switzerland: British retail sales, preliminary PMI results, consumer prices, producer prices, house prices, industrial trends survey, distributive trades survey, public sector net borrowing, consumer confidence, and Rightmove house price index. Swiss trade balance and current account.

Eastern Europe: Polish CPI and industrial production. Czech business sentiment and consumer confidence. Hungary’s current account and Russian producer prices.

Nordic Europe: Swedish PPI and unemployment. Danish consumer confidence.

Japanese Releases: Preliminary PMIs, consumer prices and corporate service prices.

Selected Other Asian Data: Hong Kong, Singaporean and Malaysian consumer prices. Chinese and Hong Kong current accounts. Taiwanese and Singaporean industrial production. Thailand’s trade balance and South Korean producer prices.

Australian and New Zealand: Australia’s index of leading economic indicators. New Zealand services PMI index, consumer confidence and trade balance.

South African and Turkey: South African leading indicators and CPI. Turkish business sentiment and consumer confidence.

Canadian Releases: Retail sales, consumer prices, new home prices, and survey of manufacturing sales, orders and inventories.

Mexico and Brazil: Mexican retail sales and index of leading economic indicators. Brazilian consumer sentiment and current account.
