Central Banks: Monetary policies are being reviewed at the European Central Bank and in Poland, Russia, Australia, Canada, Ukraine, Malaysia, Peru, and Serbia. NY Federal Reserve President Williams, ECB President Lagarde, Bank of Canada Governor Macklem, and Reserve Bank of Australia Deputy Governor Debelle are some of the central bank officials speaking publicly in the coming week. The Fed Beige Book and ECB minutes will be published.

Events and Holidays: A meeting of EU finance ministers is scheduled Monday. The Canadian and U.S. markets are closed that day for Labor Day. Brazilians observe Independence Day on Tuesday.

Purchasing Managers Survey Releases: Non-oil activities in Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the U.A.E., AIG’s Australian service sector, Lebanon’s private sector, and construction inĀ  the U.K., Euroland, Germany, France, and Italy.

Scheduled U.S. Economic Statistical Releases: Producer prices, motor vehicle sales, employment trends index, consumer credit, IBD/TIPP optimism index, and JOLTS indices of job openings, hires, and separations. Weekly jobless insurance claims, consumer comfort, chain store sales, mortgage applications, and energy inventories.

Japanese and Chinese Data: Japanese quarterly GDP and monthly current account, economy watchers index, machine tool orders, reserves, bank lending, money growth, labor cash earnings, household spending and index of leading economic indicators. Chinese CPI, PPI, money growth, bank lending, and trade balance.
