Central Banks: Monetary policies will be reviewed in New Zealand, Serbia, South Korea, Turkey and Ukraine. The Fed Beige Book of regional U.S. economic conditions will be published, and Fed District Presidents Williams and Rosengren will be speaking publicly.

Events: The World Bank/IMF meetings wrap up this weekend. EU finance ministers meet April 16th.

Scheduled U.S. Statistical Releases: Industrial production, retail sales, consumer prices, real wage earnings, import prices, capacity utilization, Treasury-compiled capital flows, small business sentiment, U. Michigan/Reuters index of consumer sentiment, the National Association of Home Builders housing market index, and the Philly Fed and Empire State manufacturing indices. Also weekly jobless insurance claims, mortgage applications, consumer comfort, chain store sales, and energy inventories.

Japanese and Chinese Releases: Japanese PPI, money growth, bank lending, machinery orders and machine tool orders. Chinese GDP, retail sales, industrial production, home prices, money growth, bank lending, trade balance, and foreign direct investment.

Members of the Euro Area: German, French, Austrian, Italian, Spanish, and Finnish consumer prices. German wholesale prices, ZEW expectations index, and index of leading economic indicators. Spanish, Dutch, Irish, and Belgian trade balances. Finnish and Portuguese current accounts. French, Belgian, and Austrian retail sales. Italian industrial production and Spain’s index of leading economic indicators.

U.K. and Switzerland: British industrial production, GDP, construction output, trade balance, labor productivity, car sales, same-store sales, and index of leading economic indicators. Swiss PPI and import prices.

Eastern Europe: Romanian, Czech and Polish consumer prices. Hungarian industrial output and retail sales.

Nordic Europe: Danish and Swedish consumer prices. Danish industrial production and Norwegian trade balance.

Australian and New Zealand Economic Data Releases: Australian employment, new home sales, unemployment, Westpac index of consumer confidence, business conditions and business confidence. New Zealand food prices.

Canada and Brazil: Canadian housing starts, home prices and manufacturing sales, orders and inventories. Brazilian retail sales and business confidence.
