Central Banks: monetary policy reviews are scheduled in Turkey, China, Russia, and Ukraine, but unscheduled meetings have become common during the Covid-19 pandemic. Minutes from the last Reserve Bank of Australia will be published, and RBA Governor Lowe speaks publicly.

Holiday’s and Special Events: Australia and New Zealand observe ANZAC Day at the end of the period. A virtual form of the IMF/World Bank meetings, which started today, will continue through April 19.

Provisional Purchasing Managers Survey Results for April: Reports cover Japan, Australia, Euroland, Germany, France, the U.K. and the United States (IHS rather than ISM).

Other Scheduled U.S. Statistical Economic Data Releases: Existing home sales, new home sales, the K.C. Fed manufacturing index, the FHFA home price index, durable goods orders, the Chicago Fed National Activity index, and the Reuters/U. Michigan consumer sentiment index. Canada and Mexico: Canadian and Mexican retail sales and wholesale turnover. Canadian CPI and new home prices.
