Central Banks: Monetary policies will be reviewed by the Federal Reserve, Bank of England, Bank of Japan, and also in Brazil, Indonesia, Russia, Poland, Taiwan and South Africa. There will be press conference afterword by Fed Chairman Jay Powell, and new U.S. macroeconomic and interest rate forecasts will be unveiled by the Fed. Minutes from the Reserve Bank of Australia’s policy meeting earlier this month will be published. Bank of England Governor Bailey and Bank of Japan Governor Kuroda hold press conferences, too.

Holidays and Events: Mexico’s Independence Day falls on Wednesday. LDP members of Japan’s parliament will select a new leader Monday, who will become the new prime minister. Eurogroup and EcoFin members have already begun discussions regarding their response to British Prime Minister Johnson’s post-Brexit trade agreement proposals.

U.S. Statistical Releases in the Week Ahead: 2Q current account. Monthly retail sales, industrial production, capacity utilization, import prices, Empire State and Philly Fed manufacturing surveys, National Association of Home Builders housing index, housing starts, building permits, U. Michigan/Reuters consumer sentiment index, Treasury-compiled capital flows, and index of leading economic indicators. Weekly jobless insurance claims, chain store sales, consumer comfort, energy inventories and mortgage applications.

Euroland Releases: Quarterly labor costs. Monthly industrial production, current account, trade balance, CPI, construction output, new car sales, and ZEW expectations index of investor sentiment.

Members of the Euro Area: French, Italian, Finnish, Austrian and Cypriot consumer prices. Italian, Greek, and Portuguese current accounts. German ZEW expectations index. German and Portuguese producer prices. Italian, Belgian, and Irish trade balances. Irish construction purchasing managers index, Dutch unemployment, and Finnish industrial production. Greek and Belgian construction output.

U.K. and Switzerland: British CPI, RPI, PPI, retail sales, unemployment claims, average wage earnings, and Rightmove house price index. Swiss producer prices, import prices and trade.

Eastern Europe: Polish, Russian and Romanian industrial production. Polish and Czech producer prices. Polish current account and CPI. Russian retail sales, GDP and unemployment.

Nordic Europe: Norwegian trade, Swedish unemployment and Danish producer prices.
