Central Banks: Monetary policies to be reviewed in Japan, the U.K., Switzerland, Taiwan, Indonesia, Russia, Brazil, Norway and Poland. Policy meeting minutes will be published for the Bank of Japan, National Bank of Poland and Reserve Bank of Australia. Fed Chairman Powell delivers Humphrey-Hawkins testimony before the Senate Financial Services Committee Tuesday and House Banking Committee on Wednesday.

Special Event: European Council meeting on Thursday.

Monthly housing starts, building permits, retail sales, industrial production, capacity usage, Philly Fed manufacturing index, Empire State manufacturing index, Treasury-compiled capital flows, and index of leading economic indicators. Nordic Europe: Danish PPI and Icelandic CPI. Norwegian trade and Swedish unemployment.

Eastern Europe: Polish, Russian and Czech PPI. Polish and Russian industrial production. Russian GDP and unemployment. Polish current account and trade.

Australia and New Zealand: Australian retail sales, employment, unemployment, new car sales, and home prices. New Zealand GDP, current acccount, and Westpac consumer confidence index.

Israel and South Africa: Israeli GDP. South African retail sales and wholesale turnover.

Canada and Brazil: Canadian CPI, home prices, retail sales and manufacturing sales. Brazilian retail sales, business confidence and index of leading economic indicators.
