Holidays: France celebrates Bastille Day on July 14, which marks the 230th anniversary of the start of the French Revolution. Japanese Marine Day is on Monday.

U.S. Economic Statistical Releases: Monthly trade balance, import prices, industrial production, capacity usage, Treasury-compiled capital flows (TIC), Empire State and Philly Fed manufacturing indices, National Association  of Home Builders’ housing index, housing starts, building permits, U. Michigan/Reuters consumer sentiment index, and index of leading economic indicators. Weekly new jobless insurance claims, consumer comfort, chain store sales, energy inventories, and mortgage applications.

Japanese and Chinese Data: Japanese consumer prices, all industry index, customs trade, and supermarket & department store sales. Chinese quarterly GDP and monthly retail sales, industrial production, property prices, and fixed asset investment.

Brazil and Mexico: Brazilian and Mexican indices of leading economic indicators.

Australian and New Zealand: Australian monthly labor statistics and index of leading economic indicators. Westpac-compiled Australian second-quarter business confidence. New Zealand second-quarter consumer prices and monthly service-sector purchasing managers index.

South Africa and Turkey: South African retail sales and wholesale turnover. Turkish retail sales and unemployment.
