Central Banks: Monetary policy reviews in Canada, Malaysia, Israel, Peru, Sri Lanka and Serbia. Fed officials who will be speaking publicly next week include Chairman Powell, Vice Chair Quarles, Williams, Kashkari, Barkin, and Bostic. DeBelle of the Reserve Bank of Australia, Coeure of the European Central Bank and Bank of Canada Governor Poloz speak publicly as well. FOMC meeting minutes and the quarterly Bank of Canada Monetary Policy Report are to be published.
Scheduled U.S. Economic Statistical Releases: Consumer prices, producer prices, consumer credit, employment trends index, small business sentiment, JOLTS index of job hires and separations, average hourly earnings, and monthly federal budget. Also weekly jobless insurance claims, consumer comfort, energy inventories, chain store sales, and mortgage applications.
Japanese and Chinese Data: Japanese machinery orders, machine tool orders, tertiary index, revised industrial production, capacity utilization, economy watchers index, bankruptcies, current account, corporate goods prices, bank lending, money growth, and labor cash earnings. Chinese CPI, PPI, trade balance, foreign direct investment, reserves, money growth and bank lending.

Australia and New Zealand: Australian business conditions and confidence, consumer sentiment, mortgage lending, and labor cash earnings. New Zealand retail sales and manufacturing purchasing managers index.
South Africa and Turkey: South African and Turkish industrial production. Turkey’s current account.
Canada, Mexico and Brazil: Canadian housing starts, building permits, and home prices. Mexican trade balance, industrial production, CPI and PPI. Brazilian retail sales and CPI.
