Central Banks: A monetary policy review is scheduled at the Bank of Korea, and minutes from the last Reserve Bank of Australia Board meeting and the Fed’s Beige will be published. Fed officials with public speaking engagements next week include Bullard, Harker, Logan, Kaplan, Rosengren, Bostic and Evans. Governor Carney and Haskell of the Bank of England, Nowotny of the European Central Bank and Wakatabe of the Bank of Japan also speak publicly.

Holidays and Events: For Maundy Thursday and Good Friday, Norway will be shut Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, Mexico is closed Thursday and Friday, and India, South Africa, Germany, Ireland, Indonesia, Brazil, Spain, New Zealand, Switzerland, the U.K., Singapore, Australia, Canada, France, Hong Kong, and U.S. markets will be closed on Friday. Indonesian parliamentary election on Wednesday.

Scheduled U.S. Economic Statistical Releases: Monthly retail sales, industrial production, capacity usage, trade balance, Philly Fed and Empire State manufacturing indices, the National Association of Homebuilders index, Treasury-compiled capital flows, and the Conference Board index of leading economic indicators. Weekly chain store sales, jobless insurance claims, consumer comfort, mortgage applications, and energy inventories.

Japanese and Chinese Data: Japanese revised industrial production, capacity utilization, consumer prices, customs trade balance, preliminary manufacturing PMI, tertiary index, department store sales, and supermarket sales. Chinese quarterly GDP and monthly retail sales, industrial production, fixed asset investment, property prices, and foreign direct investment.

Selected Other Asian Statistics: Indian, Indonesian and Singapore trade balances. Hong Kong unemployment, Indian wholesale prices, and South Korean producer prices.

Euroland: Current account, trade balance, construction output, consumer prices, preliminary purchasing manager survey results, ZEW investor expectations index, index of leading economic indicators, and EU new car sales.

Members of the Euro Area: German and French PMI indices. German, Irish, and Portuguese producer prices. Finnish, Italian, Austrian and Cypriot consumer prices. French and Spanish indices of leading economic indicators. Greek and Finnish current accounts. Irish and Italian trade balances. Dutch unemployment and retail sales. German ZEW expectations index.  Italian industrial orders, consumer confidence, and business sentiment.

U.K. and Switzerland: British CPI, RPI, PPI, labor statistics, retail sales, and the Rightmove and ONS house price indices. Swiss trade balance, producer prices and import prices.

Nordic Europe: Norwegian trade balance, Danish PPI, and Swedish unemployment.

Eastern Europe: Polish and Czech CPI and PPI indices. Polish industrial production.

Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa: Australian labor statistics and Westpac-compiled index of leading economic indicators. New Zealand quarterly CPI and monthly services PMI. South African CPI, retail sales, and wholesale turnover.

Canada: Monthly survey of manufacturing sales, orders and inventories. Retail sales, CPI, and trade balance.

Mexico and Brazil: Mexican index of leading economic indicators, and Brazil’s PPI.
