Holiday Closures: Many markets will remain shut on Easter Monday such as France, Italy, Germany, the U.K., Spain, Switzerland, New Zealand, Australia, and Hong Kong. The Ching Ming Festival will be celebrated Thursday in Hong Kong and Thursday and Friday in China. South Africa’s Family Day is on Monday.

Purchasing Manager Surveys: Multiple PMIs will be reported on each day of next week, covering activity in manufacturing, services, retailing, and construction.

Central Banks: The quarterly Bank of Japan survey of corporate conditions and expectations, known as the Tankan, will be published Monday. Monetary policy reviews are scheduled in Australia, India, Sri Lanka and Romania.

Scheduled U.S. Economic Statistical Releases: The ADP estimate of private sector employment and the Labor Department monthly report on unemployment, wage growth, and employment. Also, the trade balance, factory orders, motor vehicle sales, construction spending, the New York regional PMI (NAPM index), and consumer credit. Weekly observations of energy inventories, chain store sales, consumer comfort, mortgage applications and jobless insurance claims.

Euroland: Unemployment, consumer prices, retail sales, producer prices and the Sentix measure of investor sentiment.

Members of the Euro Area: German retail sales, industrial orders and industrial production. Spanish, Greek and Irish industrial production. Italian, Spanish, Irish and Austrian unemployment. French and Greek trade balances. Cypriot consumer prices and French current account.

U.K. and Switzerland: British unit labor costs, shop prices, car sales, and RICs house price index. Swiss retail sales, unemployment, and CPI.

Nordic Europe: Danish GDP, industrial output and unemployment.

Eastern Europe: Czech, Romanian and Hungarian retail sales. Czech and Romanian GDP. Hungarian and Czech industrial production. Romanian producer prices.

Japanese Data: Consumer confidence, auto sales, labor cash earnings, international reserves, real household spending, and the index of leading economic indicators.

Selected Other Asian Statistical Releases: Indian and South Korean current accounts. South Korean, Indonesian, Thai, and Filipino consumer prices.  South Korean and Malaysian trade balances. Thai and Filipino producer prices. Indonesian consumer sentiment.

Australia and New Zealand: Australian retail sales, building permits and trade balance. New Zealand consumer confidence.

Turkey and South Africa: Turkish CPI and PPI. South African GDP.

Canada, Brazil and Mexico: Canadian housing starts, IVEY-PMI index, and trade balance. Brazilian industrial production and trade balance. Mexican consumer confidence.
