Central Bank Developments:  Interest rate policy meetings are scheduled in Japan, Hungary, Indonesia, and South Africa.  Policy changes are not predicted.  Minutes will be published for the last such meetings of the FOMC, Reserve Bank of Australia Board, and ECB Governing Council.  Fed officials speaking in public next week include Dudley, Lockhart, Mester, Kaplan, Bullard and Tarullo.  Other central bankers scheduled to make public comments include Deputy RBA Governor DeBelle, ECB President Draghi, BOJ Governor Kuroda and Bundesbank President Weidmann.

Japanese Data:  GDP, customs trade, all-industry index, machine tool orders, and department and supermarket sales.

Selected Other Asian Data:  Singaporean, Indonesian, Indian, and South Korean trade balances.  South Korean PPI and Malaysian CPI.  Indian wholesale prices, Tai current account, and Thai GDP.  Chinese property prices and index of leading economic indicators.

Scheduled U.S. Data:  Industrial production, capacity usage, consumer prices, housing starts and permits, NAHB index, Empire State, Philly Fed and K.C. Fed manufacturing indices, Treasury-compiled capital flows (TIC), index of leading economic indicators, and weekly observations on jobless insurance claims, mortgage applications, consumer comfort, energy inventories and chain store sales.

Euroland:  Current account, consumer confidence, consumer prices, EU-25 car registrations, construction output and ZEW index of investor sentiment.

Members of the Eurozone:  German ZEW sentiment index and producer prices.  French and Spanish indices of leading economic indicators.  Spanish, Italian and Belgian trade.  Belgian and Dutch consumer confidence.  Greek, Italian and Portuguese current accounts.  Austrian CPI and Portuguese PPI.

Nordic Europe:  Danish retail sales and producer prices.  Norwegian GDP and trade balance.  Icelandic consumer prices and wage costs.

Eastern Europe:  Czech and Polish producer prices.  Polish industrial production and retail sales.  Romanian current account.

U.K. and Switzerland:  British public finances, retail sales, industrial trends survey and Rightmove home price index.  Swiss ZEW investor sentiment index and trade surplus.

Australia and New Zealand:  Australian index of leading economic indicators, quarterly labor costs, job ads and motor vehicle sales.  New Zealand services purchasing managers index, retail sales and quarterly producer prices.

South Africa and Turkey:  South African consumer prices and retail sales.  Turkish unemployment.

Canada and Latin America:  Canadian CPI, retail sales, wholesale turnover, monthly survey of manufacturing shipments, orders and inventories.  Mexican, Peruvian and Chilean GDP and Colombian retail sales.
